Cleric Win NWAS Tender
29 September 2010
Following a detailed tender process and research of available systems, the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust has awarded a contract to CCS for the supply of a regional Non-emergency Patient Transport system.
The contract award was based on a number of factors including price and Cleric’s technical capacity to deliver the contract requirements. Under the contract, existing PTS systems in Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria will be replaced with APTS, Cleric’s Advanced Patient Transport Service system. The new system will run on a highly resilient hardware platform utilising the latest Data Centre and Virtual Control Centre architecture. CCS has supplied software and services to the Trust for many years and its PTS systems were installed in Lancashire and Cumbria prior to reorganisation in 2005. Under the new contract CCS will supply, develop and maintain the software and related services essential to the Trust’s objectives and operational requirements. Charles Porter, CCS Technical Director, in commenting on the award, said “Everyone at Cleric, particularly the senior technical staff and those involved in the tender process, are delighted with the news and we all look forward to a long and happy relationship with all the staff at North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust”.
