The acclaimed visual APTS (Advanced Passenger Transport Service) system reflects the latest thinking in the provision of special needs passenger transport services and embodies centralised management reporting and contracting whilst maintaining either centralised planning and control or local customer friendly sub-systems. The ever changing demands placed upon service providers and increasing customer expectations make flexibility of paramount importance. An infinite range of configuration options are available through the latest DDA (Dynamic Desk Allocation) and MUST (MUltiple Service Type) technology. The modular and flexible nature of the APTS software enables complete systems to be tailored to meet a client's exact requirements at the lowest cost without compromising quality. The system embraces the whole of the transport operation commencing with the receipt and registration of transport requests, through journey planning/scheduling, 'on the day' control, contracting and journey charging to management and statistical reporting. Designed for ease of use by transport service staff, the system uses a standard Windows graphical user interface and many advanced features to validate and speed data entry. Screen layouts look and feel similar to conventional forms and incorporate on screen prompts, pick-lists and on-line help. The system is protected from unauthorised access through defined user IDs and security passwords. Based on open systems technology APTS embraces the whole of the transport service operation from the registration of transport requests to journey charging.
